President Ho-Dac Tuc

Dr. Ho-Dac Tuc commenced as President of Thai Binh Duong University in September 2019.

Prior to joining the University, Tuc was a visiting scholar at The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2018, and at the University of Leeds in 2019.

Dr. Ho-Dac Tuc held leadership positions at The International School Ho Chi Minh City and British International School. He had previously worked as a team leader of the World Bank’s Vietnam Higher Education Project in Ha Noi (2001), taught at Deakin University and served as public servant in the Australia’s Victorian Government. He teaches and researches in translation, journalistic writing, critical thinking, languages in contact and Buddhist history. He has published substantially in English and Vietnamese. In 1993 he was the recipient of the Australia Council for the Arts for Literature.


He has a BA (Sociology) from Victoria University, an MA from the University of Melbourne, and a PhD from Monash University.


Vice-President Nguyen Thanh Toai

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai is the executive Vice-President of Thai Binh Duong University. Previously, he was Deputy Director-General of Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) from 1994 to 2018.

Toai’s private sector experience includes nearly 30 years as a director of 3C in Ho Chi Minh City, and as a Director for ACB Bankcard Center, Director of ACB Branch Expansion Department. His educational sector experience includes being a lecturer at HCMC University of Economics.

Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai holds a PhD in economics from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
