Professor Dr. Bui Minh Trung currently teaches at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration, Thai Binh Duong University. With proficiency in Russian and English, he has over 30 years of experience in training at the People’s Police Academy, including 17 years dedicated to the Department of Drug Crime Prevention Police. Professor Trung is an expert in the field of drug prevention. His main scientific research direction is reconnaissance professional activities, combating drug crimes, and some other types of crimes. He has proposed many new solutions for using tactical measures to combat crimes of illegal transportation and trading of narcotics.

In addition to teaching, Professor Minh Trung is also a dynamic researcher. He has headed 5 research projects, including 2 grassroots-level projects, 2 ministerial-level projects, and 1 state-level project. He is currently the Deputy Head of a state-level project. He is also the author of many textbooks, monographs, scientific articles, and conference reports published domestically and internationally. Some of his notable monographs include: Detection and Investigation of Illegal Transportation and Trading Crimes of Narcotics Abusing the Postal and Telecommunications Service System by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Force of the Hanoi Police, published at the People’s Police Academy; Scientific Commentary on the Criminal Code, published at the Labor Publishing House; Drug Prevention in Schools, published at the People’s Police Publishing House. Professor Trung is dedicated to the cause of education and training.

He has also supervised 4 doctoral students who successfully defended their doctoral dissertations and 31 master’s students who successfully defended their master’s theses. He believes that a teacher should not only impart knowledge but also have many practical experiences to make lectures lively and practical. He also constantly strives to update the curriculum and innovate teaching methods to equip students with comprehensive knowledge.
