Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong – President of Thai Binh Duong University, is a seasoned educator and administrator. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE) from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and was conferred the academic rank of Associate Professor by the State in 2001.

Before assuming the presidency at Thai Binh Duong University, he had many years of experience in university administration, having served as Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; President of the International University (VNU-HCM), and President of Hong Bang International University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong is recognized by the academic world and the business community as the founder of the Industrial Systems Engineering discipline and one of the pioneers who laid the foundation for the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management education in Vietnam – a sector of strategic importance in the context of economic integration. For his great and tireless contributions to the cause of education, he was honorably awarded the noble title of People’s Teacher by the State in 2017.
