
Dr. Le Anh Thu
Ms. Le Anh Thu is a lecturer and researcher in tourism at the Faculty of Tourism, Thai Binh Duong University. She possesses diverse learning experiences in the fields of Tourism and International Relations (France-Vietnam), demonstrating a deep understanding of the culture and tourism of both countries. Her solid academic foundation is evidenced by her Doctorate in Geography from the University of Avignon, France. Her doctoral thesis focused on the concept of Kitsch – a creative and emerging concept in the tourism industry. Her research on this topic has been published in international tourism journals and presented at international conferences, affirming her position as a reputable researcher.
She is passionate about intercultural approaches to Kitsch analysis, combining knowledge of French and Vietnamese cultures to bring a unique comparative and analytical perspective to her research. Not stopping at a doctoral degree, she also aims to pursue research through postdoctoral projects in Europe, expanding into areas such as Anthropology and Sociology.
In addition to research, Ms. Le Anh Thu is also a dedicated lecturer, developing a curriculum aimed at fostering critical thinking, the ability to defend personal viewpoints and express individual opinions for students. She believes that these factors will help students integrate well into the labor market after graduation.
With the desire to inspire scientific research for students and young researchers, she actively participates in domestic academic activities. She was a speaker at the 8th seminar organized by Vietnam Tourism Research in May 2023. In particular, she is in charge of the TBD Research Rendez-vous series of the Faculty of Tourism, Thai Binh Duong University, to connect schools in the Central Coast region, enhancing scientific research capabilities for lecturers and students.
