Continuing the international cooperation activities in 2025, on February 17th, Thai Binh Duong University welcomed a working delegation from Jeonju University, South Korea, to concretize the contents of the agreement signed in the previous Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Attending the meeting, from Jeonju University were Prof. Dr. Jang Hyeon Jin – Head of International Relations Cooperation Institute and members. From Thai Binh Duong University, there was Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong – President along with representatives of faculties, departments, and functional units.

Jeonju University, established in 1965, is a prestigious university located in Jeonju City, South Korea. Jeonju is a famous tourist center with a rich culture and distinctive cuisine, 1 hour away from Seoul by high-speed train. Jeonju University is recognized as one of the leading universities in Korea for the rate of students who have jobs after graduation. With a favorable learning environment and reasonable living costs, Jeonju University is an attractive destination for international students.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to implement a series of diverse collaborative activities, focusing on improving the quality of education and facilitating students’ access to an international education environment, including:

1+3 and 2+2 programs: This training model allows students from Thai Binh Duong University to transfer to Jeonju University after 1 or 2 years of study in Vietnam, receive a bachelor’s degree granted by Jeonju University, and aim for a dual degree from both universities. Jeonju University is committed to supporting free Korean language scholarships, contributing to attracting potential students and equipping them with a solid foundation before studying abroad in Korea.

Student exchange: The student exchange program, especially with a focus on Korean language majors, will help students broaden their understanding of Korean culture and people, while improving their communication skills and adapting to an international environment.

In addition, the two sides also discussed the establishment of representative offices at each university and scholarships for lecturers from Thai Binh Duong University to participate in the doctoral training program at Jeonju University.

The working session between Thai Binh Duong University and Jeonju University was a success. The cooperative content between the two sides will bring many benefits to students and lecturers, contributing to improving the quality of training and research.
