At Thai Binh Duong University (TBD), a student’s educational journey extends far beyond classrooms and labs, opening up a vibrant world where international experiences are intricately woven into daily life, turning each day into an adventure of cultural discovery.
Over the years, TBD has continuously expanded its collaborations with reputable international organizations and universities, creating a learning and training environment rich in global exposure for its students. TBD-ers consistently have opportunities to meet, interact, broaden their networks, and gain valuable knowledge from friends across five continents. Simultaneously, students enhance their professional expertise and integration skills through exchange programs, internships, and work placements in various countries worldwide.
A vibrant multicultural space right on TBD campus

Each year, the Korean Culture Festival draws a large crowd of K-pop, K-drama, and K-culture enthusiasts. This annual event, organized by the Center for Korean Studies, offers a chance to interact, learn, and experience Korean culture firsthand through activities like wearing Hanbok, playing folk games, and enjoying traditional cuisine. Alongside this, TBD Language Talent – a language talent competition exclusively for TBD students – provides a platform for Gen Z to showcase their passion for foreign languages and connect with like-minded peers.
The Chinese Club, Easy English Club, and Korean Club also regularly host exciting activities. The regular sessions of these three clubs help members explore and deepen their understanding of various cultural aspects of different countries through mini-games, watching and translating films, and film dubbing, among others.
A destination for international students

Annually, students majoring in Korean Studies enthusiastically welcome numerous student delegations from the land of the morning calm, such as the Hyangsang Global student community, Busan University of Foreign Studies, and Kwangwoon Architecture School. What could be better than honing Korean communication skills and exploring the beauty of Korean culture with local Gen Z through traditional games, cultural performances, and cuisine? Additionally, TBD frequently welcomes student groups from U.S. universities for visits and studies within the framework of the “SIT Study Abroad” program, as well as Danish gymnastics teams for performances and sports exchanges.
These activities not only provide TBD students with opportunities to experience and develop an international mindset and work style but also improve their integration capabilities and enhance their foreign language skills. Thanks to these valuable assets, students will confidently enter the global job market and assert their position in the future.
Global opportunities

Studying, interning, and working in an international environment is a dream for many young people. To meet this aspiration, TBD has connected with numerous major global partners to create diverse “overseas” opportunities for its students.
A notable example is the mobility program in Bali, Indonesia. Students from the Hotel Management and English Language majors gained “hands-on” knowledge of destination marketing, hotel operational models, and sustainable tourism development at Bali Tourism Polytechnic (BiTP) – a leading tourism training institution in Indonesia. Beyond learning from reputable experts, students also explored Bali’s rich local culture and cuisine, stayed at 5-star hotels, and received international certificates.
Many TBD students have successfully pursued prestigious scholarships to study abroad. A prime example is Phan Vu Uyen Minh, a third-year Chinese major, who first earned a 5-month full scholarship at Nanjing University (China) and then successfully secured a full master’s scholarship in Vietnamese – Chinese Translation at Yunnan Normal University (China). This scholarship, jointly awarded by the Chinese Government and Yunnan University, is granted to outstanding students with excellent academic performance and a passion for language research. Reportedly, in 2025, only four Vietnamese students were selected to receive this scholarship.
Thanks to over 30 partnerships with leading universities such as the University of Hauts-de-France (France), Minghsin University of Science and Technology, Ming Chi University of Technology (Taiwan), INTI International University (Malaysia), Jeonju University, Cheongju University (South Korea), and more, TBD students have opportunities to access modern curricula and teaching methods; participate in student exchange programs – international semesters – multicultural exchanges; pursue flexible dual-degree or international transfer programs; and enhance their global career prospects after graduation.
We believe each student is a potential seed, deserving to be nurtured in a borderless garden of knowledge. TBD will accompany and empower you to soar, ensuring every experience is a new lesson and every challenge a step forward on your journey to building the best version of yourself.
