The year 2024 marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Immanuel Kant, one of the greatest philosophers in Western history. To commemorate this significant milestone, Thai Binh Duong University, in collaboration with the University of Law (Hue University), organized an international conference entitled “Ethics and Law: Interdisciplinary Philosophical and Scientific Approaches.” The conference brought together leading researchers, experts, and scholars from around the world to discuss pressing issues at the intersection of ethics and law in the context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Key topics included Immanuel Kant’s philosophy of ethics and law, ethical and legal challenges posed by globalization and Industry 4.0, and the application of ethical and legal theories to governance and jurisprudence.

The conference was organized by the Vietnamese Law Training Network, with Thai Binh Duong University serving as the lead organizer and the University of Law (Hue University) as a co-organizer. The event brought together a multidisciplinary group of scholars from universities, research institutions, government agencies, and legal organizations both domestically and internationally. Participants engaged in discussions on pressing issues related to ethics and law, with a particular focus on Immanuel Kant’s philosophy. Supporting organizations included Leyte Normal University in the Philippines, the Journal of Philosophy of the Vietnam Research Center at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, and the Democracy and Law Journal of the Ministry of Justice.
