Junior Day 2026, organized by the Faculty of Tourism at the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO), has concluded with notable highlights—not only in the number of employment opportunities facilitated, but also in the clear growth of students’ career awareness and professional mindset.

The event provided students with hands-on experiences, bringing them closer to an international-standard hospitality and service environment.

As part of the event, students took part in a diverse series of activities centered around three key experiences. The program began with the “Marriott Careers” Talkshow, where students had the opportunity to engage with management representatives from Marriott International brands in Khanh Hoa. Through real-life stories about career journeys, career progression, and industry expectations, students gained a clearer and more practical understanding of career development pathways in the hospitality and service industry.

The “Marriott Careers” Talkshow attracted a large number of students with authentic career insights from five-star hotel managers.

The program continued with an internship experience seminar featuring representatives from the business community. Practical discussions focused on professional conduct, work attitudes, and essential skills, helping students—particularly first-year students—better prepare for their upcoming introductory internship. Beyond providing career guidance, the session also helped students build greater confidence as they prepare to enter a professional working environment.

The seminar with InterContinental Nha Trang provided practical insights and tips to help students confidently prepare for their first internship.

The highlight of the event was the recruitment fair, which brought together 14 five-star hotel and resort brands. Students had the opportunity to meet recruiters directly, participate in interviews, and introduce themselves to potential employers. The activity provided valuable opportunities for students to gain first-hand experience while enabling businesses to connect with a young, dynamic, and well-trained talent pool.

UPO students proactively introduced themselves, submitted their CVs, and engaged directly with recruiters at the event.

Feedback from participating organizations highlighted the professionalism, well-presented manner, and eagerness to learn demonstrated by UPO students. Many businesses expressed positive impressions of the quality of the candidates and their potential to grow in an international working environment.

The success of Junior Day 2026 further demonstrates UPO’s commitment to practice-oriented education and its expanding network of industry partnerships. Through practical and meaningful activities, the University continues to provide students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, strengthen their capabilities, and prepare for integration into the global labor market while they are still pursuing their studies.

Junior Day 2026 created opportunities for students to build professional connections and gain exposure to five-star working environments while still at university.

The University sincerely thanks its business partners for their valuable support in making the program a success and looks forward to continuing to organize meaningful activities that expand career opportunities for students in the future.
