On the morning of July 7, 2026, the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) solemnly held its First Graduation Ceremony of 2026, marking an important milestone for 211 graduate and undergraduate students after 3.5 years of study, training, and personal growth. The ceremony not only recognized the graduates’ persistent efforts but also marked the beginning of a new journey filled with opportunities and aspirations.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the graduates took turns walking across the stage to receive their degrees amid congratulations from the University’s leadership, faculty members, family, and friends. The applause, radiant smiles, and emotional moments created unforgettable memories for everyone in attendance.
Speaking at the ceremony, People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President of the University of the Pacific Ocean, congratulated the new master’s and bachelor’s graduates on their achievements after years of dedicated study. He emphasized that a graduation degree is not an ending, but rather the beginning of a new journey—one in which each individual should continue to cultivate a lifelong learning mindset, embrace innovation and creativity, and remain ready to adapt to changes in society.

In this graduation ceremony, the University awarded degrees to 17 new Master of Laws graduates and 194 new bachelor’s graduates from the fields of Information Technology, Tourism, English Language, Oriental Studies, Law, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, and Accounting. On this occasion, 16 students who achieved Valedictorian and Salutatorian honors in their respective majors were also recognized and awarded by the University’s leadership for their outstanding academic achievements, inspiring fellow students with their dedication to learning and pursuit of knowledge.
This year’s graduation ceremony was not only a joyful occasion for the graduates but also a moment of pride for their families, lecturers, and the University as they witnessed a new generation of graduates ready to enter the labor market with the knowledge, skills, and confidence developed throughout their university journey.

With its commitment to practice-oriented education, the University of the Pacific Ocean continues to innovate its academic programs with an emphasis on application, strengthen industry-based learning experiences, and develop students’ professional competencies. With 70% of the curriculum dedicated to practical learning and a network of more than 200 industry partners, students have opportunities to experience real-world working environments, gain practical experience while still at university, and strengthen their competitiveness after graduation.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt moments as the new master’s and bachelor’s graduates, together with their families and lecturers, captured memorable photographs and shared their happiness after a journey marked by dedication and perseverance. Each degree awarded today represents not only the achievements gained through years of diligent study, but also a testament to the graduates’ growth, confidence, and aspirations to reach further.

The University of the Pacific Ocean congratulates all 211 new master’s and bachelor’s graduates on completing this important milestone in their lives. May you continue to carry with you a passion for knowledge, confidence in yourselves, and a strong desire to contribute as you embark on your new journeys, bringing positive values to the community and society.
