On the afternoon of April 14, the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC), one of Vietnam’s leading institutions in the research and production of medical biological products.

An overview of the cooperation signing ceremony between UPO and the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC).

The cooperation agreement is built around strategic directions aimed at enhancing the quality of education and strengthening its connection with industry practice. Specifically, the two institutions will collaborate on training and research activities, creating opportunities for students majoring in Biomedical Sciences to gain access to professional practical and internship environments throughout their studies. Direct exposure to IVAC’s research and production processes will also help bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and the practical requirements of the modern biomedical field.

Representatives from both sides discuss and agree on areas of cooperation in education and scientific research.

The partnership will also focus on expert exchanges and promote joint research projects involving UPO faculty members, researchers, and IVAC’s professional teams. This is expected to provide an important foundation for developing an applied academic and research ecosystem.

The signing ceremony between UPO and IVAC is expected to open up new opportunities for learning, practical training, and research for Biomedical Sciences students.

Through this partnership, Biomedical Sciences students at UPO will have greater opportunities to access modern laboratory facilities, participate in practical research projects, and learn alongside experts directly involved in developing medical products for the community. These experiences will not only strengthen their professional competencies but also help develop research-oriented thinking and professional skills from an early stage.

Working alongside a leading institution such as IVAC further reinforces UPO’s commitment to practice-oriented education while opening up a strong development pathway for students in health-related fields – equipping them with solid knowledge, practical skills, and the readiness to thrive in high-quality professional environments.
