On the morning of December 28, 2025, the University of the Pacific Ocean successfully held the 2025 Alumni Conference. The event was not only an emotional reunion of more than 70 alumni from different cohorts, but also marked an important milestone with the official launch of the Interim Executive Committee of the University’s Alumni Association – the “leading pioneers” who will guide and strengthen the alumni network in the years to come.

Overview of the Conference.

The Conference was attended by Dr. Le Anh Tuan – Vice President of the University, Dr. Le Anh Van – Vice President, leaders of Faculties and functional departments, along with representatives of lecturers and students.

Delivering the opening remarks, Dr. Le Anh Tuan emphasized: “Whether you are entrepreneurs striving in the business world, experts in your professional fields, or young people eager to build your careers, in the eyes of the teachers, you will always remain the students of those early days.” He also shared recent changes and new developments of the University of the Pacific Ocean, affirming that the University’s position today has been significantly shaped by the achievements and successes of its alumni over the years.

In an open and sincere atmosphere, the discussion session themed “The Journey After Graduation” attracted lively participation. Outstanding alumni such as Mr. Tran Thanh Truong (Faculty of Law and Public Administration), Mr. Duong Thanh Phuong (Faculty of Tourism), along with representatives from various faculties, shared real-life stories of their career journeys, valuable lessons carried forward from their time at UPO, and practical advice on employment opportunities for younger generations of students.

Ms. Le Thi Lan Huong, M.A. – Head of the Student Affairs Office, presented an overview and orientation for alumni affairs in the coming period, reaffirming the University’s commitment to building a supportive, connected, and mutually developing alumni community.

Launch of the Interim Executive Committee of the Alumni Association

One of the key contents of the Conference was the election of the Interim Executive Committee of the University of the Pacific Ocean Alumni Association.

In a spirit of democracy, openness, and transparency, the Conference conducted elections for Faculty-based Alumni Chapters, from which five members were elected to the University-level Interim Executive Committee, including:

  1. Ms. Phan Thi Thao Ly (Alumna, Faculty of Economics & Management) – President.
  2. Ms. Dinh Thi Nga (Alumna, Faculty of Tourism) – Vice President.
  3. Mr. Ho Van Hoi (Alumnus, Faculty of Law and Public Administration) – Executive Committee Member.
  4. Ms. Nguyen Nhu Huyen (Alumna, Faculty of Languages and Culture) – Executive Committee Member.
  5. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Chuong (Alumnus, Faculty of Law and Public Administration) – Executive Committee Member.

On behalf of the University, Dr. Le Anh Tuan presented congratulatory flowers and expressed his confidence in the Interim Executive Committee – the core members who will lay a solid foundation for the development of the Alumni Association in its initial term.

As shared during the Conference: “The Conference has come to a close, but the journey of connection has truly just begun.” Today’s event strongly affirms that every student of the University of the Pacific Ocean, no matter where they go or what path they take, will always have a “shared home” to return to— a place to connect, to share, and to take pride in.
