After nearly a month of training in a disciplined environment, K17 students of the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) officially concluded their National Defense and Security Education course for the 2025–2026 academic year with an emotional music festival titled “Journey of Youth.”
The program was organized by the Faculty of Basic Sciences in collaboration with the UPO Youth Union and Student Association. It served not only as a closing event for the course but also as a vibrant artistic platform where students could connect, express their creativity, and celebrate the spirit of youth.
More than just a night of music and dance, the event provided a meaningful moment for students to reflect on their journey over the past month – from the initial unfamiliarity of military training to becoming more disciplined, confident, and united as a collective.
A vibrant artistic space filled with youthful colors

A blend of energetic modern songs and performances inspired by traditional melodies created a diverse artistic atmosphere, allowing the audience to experience a wide range of emotions—from excitement and enthusiasm to reflection and pride.
“Darker skin, stronger spirit” – A journey of growth
Representing the K17 “soldiers,” student Nguyen Thanh An from the Faculty of Law and Public Administration shared: “Our skin may be darker, but we have become stronger. That is the clearest way we can describe this journey.”
During the training period with instructors from the Information Officer School, students experienced strict discipline, organized routines, and structured training. These experiences helped them develop a stronger sense of responsibility, teamwork, and personal resilience. At the same time, the dedication and guidance of the instructors left a lasting impression, becoming valuable lessons that students will carry with them throughout their academic journey and future development.
Honoring outstanding achievements
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee honored collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the following categories:
- Military drill formation
- Rifle assembly and disassembly
- The creative photo and video contest “Training Ground Sunshine”
- The school band and dance festival
These awards were not only a recognition of accomplishments but also a testament to the determination, teamwork, and perseverance demonstrated by K17 students throughout the training period.
The “Journey of Youth” music festival concluded in a warm and emotional atmosphere filled with memorable moments. The event marked an important milestone in the growth of K17 students after completing their military training, while also inspiring them to continue their academic journey with a positive spirit and strong aspirations for the future.
