On February 21st, a group of students from Busan University of Foreign Studies, one of the most prestigious foreign language universities in South Korea, had a day of cultural exchange and experience at Thai Binh Duong University.

There, the Korean language students showcased their fluency in Korean through presentations introducing TBD and engaging in cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea. They participated in decorating traditional Vietnamese conical hats (nón lá), performing songs and dances, playing a music trivia game, and even learning Taekwondo, all aimed at fostering a strong bond among the students.

Notably, during this visit, representatives from Thai Binh Duong University, Mr. Tran Hoai Nam – Director of the Center for Korean Studies, and Professor Jung Eui Rom – Center for Social Contribution, Busan University of Foreign Studies, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate discussions on more specific collaborative programs.

The areas of cooperation outlined in the MOU encompass a wide range of initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs, providing opportunities for both Vietnamese and Korean students to study abroad, immerse themselves in a new culture, and gain valuable international experience; language and cultural exchange activities, such as workshops, seminars, and cultural events, to promote mutual understanding and appreciation for the diverse cultures of Vietnam and South Korea; and community development projects, collaborating on initiatives that address social issues and contribute to the betterment of local communities in both countries.

This partnership is expected to create a vibrant platform for academic and cultural exchange, offering students and faculty from both universities a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons, enhance their language skills, and forge lasting connections with their international counterparts.

Furthermore, it reinforces TBD’s commitment to providing a world-class, multilingual, and multicultural learning environment that prepares students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
