Recently, TBD students participated in a special “Career Talk” with esteemed experts from Marriott International, the world’s leading hotel group. This event is part of TBD’s signature activities aimed at developing students’ skills and knowledge, while preparing them for a wide range of career opportunities.
The talk began with an inspiring story from Ms. Hanh Nguyen, Housekeeping Manager. She emphasized that to succeed in the hotel industry, it’s not only about professional skills but also about passion and perseverance for the profession. Ms. Thao Bui, Chief Concierge, brought a fresh perspective on the courage to change and overcome fear. “You can do it” was the powerful message that Ms. Thao wanted to convey, encouraging young people to always be ready to embrace challenges and not be afraid to change in order to progress.
Continuing the inspiring atmosphere, Ms. Phuong Vu, Human Resources Manager, provided TBD students with a clearer understanding of career opportunities through practical insights into the working environment and employee development policies. She also highlighted the importance of choosing to work for companies with good benefits and training programs.
The TBD students also demonstrated their understanding and clear preparation for their future through insightful questions posed to the experts. The TBD students showed a keen interest in career advancement paths, networking strategies, and the work process after graduation.
