Recently, the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) organized a scholarship award program for students at high schools across Khanh Hoa Province (formerly Ninh Thuan), contributing to motivating students in their academic journey and opening up opportunities to access a quality higher education environment as they prepare for their future.
At Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted – Dong Hai Campus, People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong – President of the University of the Pacific Ocean – personally attended and presented meaningful scholarships. Specifically, the University awarded 01 People’s Teacher Ho Thanh Phong Scholarship to Le Uyen Nhi – Grade 12 English-major class, along with 15 “Global Citizen Scholarships” with a total value of up to VND 2.7 billion.


In addition, UPO presented merit scholarships to Tran Vo Gia Bao – the outstanding student who won the Quarter I laurel wreath of the Road to Olympia Peak 2026 competition, as well as commendation awards to students with high achievements in the April 30 Olympic competition, including:
- Le Tuan Anh – Grade 11 Biology
- Nguyen Minh Quoc – Grade 11 Chemistry
- Le Thanh Binh – Grade 11 Chemistry
- Ha Minh Tan – Grade 11 Literature
- Le Quynh Trang – Grade 11 History
These scholarships not only provide practical financial support but also serve as well-deserved recognition of students’ outstanding academic efforts.


Continuing the program, the University of the Pacific Ocean awarded scholarships at Chu Van An High School, Nguyen Trai High School, and Thap Cham High School. At each school, the University granted 01 People’s Teacher Ho Thanh Phong Scholarship and several “Global Citizen Scholarships” to outstanding students. Details are as follows:
