In celebration of the Anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to welcome the Spring of Bính Ngọ 2026, on February 1, the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) collaborated with several high schools in the former Ninh Hoa Town area to organize the friendly football tournament “UPO Friendship Cup.”

The tournament served as a healthy sporting event that fostered interaction and connection between high school students and university students, while promoting the spirit of unity, enthusiasm, and dynamism among young people.

The competition brought together four teams, including the UPO Student Team, Tran Quy Cap High School, Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, and the Ninh Hoa Continuing Education Center. From the very first minutes, the matches were lively and engaging, featuring good technical quality, impressive plays, and enthusiastic cheering from the audience.

Although they were the youngest players in the tournament, the high school teams left a strong impression with their energetic playing style, dedication, and determination to compete until the final minutes. Their intense performances required the UPO Student Team to give their best to maintain the advantage, creating a balanced, exciting, and emotionally engaging tournament.

After a series of thrilling matches, with greater experience and coordinated teamwork, the UPO Student Team successfully claimed the championship title.

The remaining positions were awarded as follows:

  • Second Place: Tran Quy Cap High School
  • Third Place: Ninh Hoa Continuing Education Center
  • Fourth Place: Nguyen Chi Thanh High School

Beyond the final results, the greatest value of the UPO Friendship Cup lies in the spirit of connection, sharing, and friendship among generations of students. The tournament became a meaningful bridge, helping high school students become more familiar with the university environment while giving UPO students the opportunity to interact, inspire, and spread the university’s dynamic image.

The University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) would like to express sincere appreciation to all participating institutions for their support and contribution to the success of the tournament. UPO hopes to welcome these “golden players” of Ninh Hoa again in a new role – as future UPO freshmen in 2026.
