On February 10, 2026, in a warm and formal atmosphere, the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) held the Year End Party 2025 under the theme “Unstoppable: Breaking Limits – Reaching New Horizons.” The event was an opportunity for the university community to reflect on the 2024–2025 academic year, recognize outstanding contributions, and look ahead to a new stage of development.

The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai, Chairman of the University Council; People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President of the University of the Pacific Ocean; members of the Board of Management; representatives from partner organizations and businesses; leaders of faculties and departments; and all faculty members, staff, and specialists of UPO. The strong presence of the university community created a connected and inspiring atmosphere, reflecting a shared determination for future growth.

In his speech, People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President of the University of the Pacific Ocean, reviewed the outstanding achievements of the 2024–2025 academic year and acknowledged the dedication, responsibility, and continuous contributions of faculty members, staff, and employees. He emphasized that every achievement of the past year was the result of unity, collaboration, and the determination of individuals to overcome their own limits in pursuit of common goals.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement and presentation of seven major awards honoring individuals and units with outstanding contributions during the past academic year:

Lecturer of the Year: MA. Nguyen Thuan Tuyet Suong – Head of the English Division, Faculty of Language and Culture
Staff of the Year: Ha Vu Bao Nhi – Executive Assistant to the Board of Management
Administrative Leader of the Year: MA. Dinh Van Huong – Head of the Academic Affairs Office
Administrative Unit of the Year: Office of Student Affairs
Academic Leader of the Year: Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Ha – Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management
Academic Unit of the Year: Faculty of Economics and Management
President’s Award: Admissions and Communications Office

In addition to the annual awards, this year’s program also featured special recognition categories, expressing heartfelt appreciation to individuals who have quietly and devotedly contributed to the university’s development:

A particularly emotional moment was the recognition of “People’s Papa”, honoring People’s Teacher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, President of the University of the Pacific Ocean, for his inspiring leadership and dedication.
Another special tribute was the recognition of “People’s Big Brother” for Dr. Nguyen Thanh Toai, Chairman of the University Council, acknowledging his sincere support and meaningful contributions to the university.

Although they may not always stand at the center of the stage, the dedication of many staff members forms an essential part of the university’s daily operations. The program also honored:

The program also presented the “Frontline Warriors” Award, recognizing individuals who made significant contributions to student recruitment activities, particularly those who actively participated in counseling and outreach efforts throughout the year. The university also expressed sincere gratitude to all faculty members and staff who have supported recruitment activities—every contribution, big or small, plays an important role in the university’s overall success.

Recipients of the “Frontline Warriors” Award included: Dr. Van Huu Quang Nhat, MA. Nguyen Tran Bao Trinh, MA. Nguyen Dang Khoa, MA. Vu Thi Le, and MA. Tran Duc Trung.

Each award announcement and presentation was conducted in a respectful and emotional atmosphere. Applause, heartfelt speeches, and moments of recognition spread pride and inspiration throughout the entire UPO community.

Following the award ceremony, the event continued with a warm year-end banquet featuring lively internal performances and interactive activities. Joyful laughter, shared moments, and meaningful gifts created a memorable evening that strengthened the bond within the University of the Pacific Ocean family.
