On the morning of December 21, 2024, Thai Binh Duong University hosted a cultural exchange event with the Ulsan Art Troupe from South Korea. The event aimed to strengthen the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea in general, and Khanh Hoa province and Ulsan city in particular. This event provided a platform for cultural exchange and showcased the unique artistic traditions of both countries. It also served to foster mutual understanding and strengthen the bond between the people of Vietnam and South Korea.

In attendance were Dr. Le Thi My Binh, Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Lee Hee Seok, Chairman of the Ulsan Federation of Cultural and Art Organizations (South Korea), who is also the Head of the Ulsan City Art Troupe. Representing Thai Binh Duong University were Prof. Dr. Dao Van Dong, President of the University, along with all lecturers, staff, and students. Also present were artists, officials and staff of the Federation, partners and guests.

Mr. Lee Hee Seok, representative of the Ulsan Art Troupe, expressed his delight at visiting and interacting with the University. He expressed his hope that universities in Ulsan City and Thai Binh Duong University would strengthen the promotion of student exchange and development of high-quality human resource training in the coming time. Notably, upon returning to South Korea, he will introduce Thai Binh Duong University to Korean educational institutions and businesses.

At the event, students of Thai Binh Duong University and the Ulsan Art Troupe delivered captivating performances with a blend of traditional and modern elements, such as the dance “A Tour of Vietnam,” the Ulsan Crane Dance, and the mashup dance “Vietnam Journeys – Vietnamese Hearts,” among others. In addition, there were cultural exchange activities, entertainment, and attractive food stalls.

The event provided an opportunity for students of Thai Binh Duong University to learn artistic skills and experience from Korean artists. It also helped them develop creative thinking, foreign language communication skills, and broaden their understanding of international cultures.

My Duyen, a second-year student majoring in Korean, shared: “I am very impressed with today’s cultural exchange. Not only did I get to experience Korean culture, but I also had the chance to improve my Korean language skills and introduce the beauty of Vietnam to international friends. I hope that the university will organize more activities like this in the future.”
