On the afternoon of February 5, the Spring Festival 2026 themed “Colors of Culture” took place at the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO). Organized by the Chinese Language Club, the event served as a cultural and artistic activity designed to create a healthy environment for student interaction and cultural exploration. It also aimed to enhance students’ interest in learning Chinese and deepen their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

The program attracted the participation of Chinese language lecturers and lecturers from related disciplines, students of the University of the Pacific Ocean, and many young people who are interested in the Chinese language and Chinese culture. The event space was decorated in a vibrant spring festival style with lanterns, couplets, themed photo spots, and a dominant red color palette, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere typical of the early days of the Lunar New Year.
A highlight of the festival was the series of experiential activities arranged across different zones. At the central stage, cultural performances and group interactions inspired by Chinese artistic traditions created an energetic atmosphere and received enthusiastic cheers from students. Meanwhile, the food stall area introduced traditional Chinese dishes, allowing participants to enjoy distinctive flavors while learning about the cultural meanings associated with each dish.

One of the most popular areas among students was the calligraphy and spring couplets booth. Here, participants could experience writing Chinese characters and requesting calligraphy pieces for the New Year, featuring meaningful wishes for luck, peace, and success. The festival-themed check-in area also became a favorite spot where students captured memorable moments with friends.

Through the activities at the event, students had the opportunity to apply their Chinese language knowledge in real-life communication, while also developing teamwork, organizational skills, and confidence in public performance. The festival also created a platform for members of the Chinese Language Club to connect, share their passion for the language, and spread appreciation for Chinese culture within the UPO student community.
The Spring Festival 2026 – “Colors of Culture” left many positive impressions, enriching the spiritual and cultural life of students while highlighting the active role of student clubs in building a dynamic and friendly learning environment at the University of the Pacific Ocean.
