Continuing their series of enriching company visits, Korean Studies students from TBD University recently had the opportunity to explore the largest shipbuilding facility in Southeast Asia – Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding.

Students were given a comprehensive tour and detailed overview of Hyundai’s shipbuilding facilities.

During the visit, the students participated in a variety of exciting activities, including learning about the history and development of Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding, touring the production workshops to gain insights into modern shipbuilding processes, engaging in conversations with engineers and workers actively involved in shipbuilding projects, and witnessing firsthand the grandeur of massive ships under construction.

An exciting experience for Korean Studies students

As a joint venture between Vietnam and South Korea, Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding provided a unique opportunity for the students to interact directly with Korean engineers. This welcoming and engaging encounter not only fostered cross-cultural understanding but also opened doors to potential career opportunities at Korean companies for TBD students.

TBD University takes pride in being the only institution in the South Central region offering a Korean Studies program. Students in this program not only gain in-depth knowledge of Korean language and culture but also participate in cultural exchange programs, internships at Korean companies, and learn directly from Korean professors. These experiences provide invaluable real-world exposure and enhance students’ personal and professional development.
