On the afternoon of February 10, 2026, the Trade Union Executive Committee of the University of the Pacific Ocean (UPO) organized the Lunar New Year Jam-Making Contest 2026 for union members and employees in celebration of the Bính Ngọ Lunar New Year 2026. The event took place in a joyful and warm atmosphere, filled with vibrant spring colors and a strong spirit of community connection.

The contest was one of the meaningful activities aimed at caring for the material and spiritual well-being of staff and employees during the traditional Lunar New Year. Through this program, the university’s Trade Union continued to demonstrate its role in supporting and recognizing the contributions of faculty members, staff, and employees, while strengthening the bond between union members and the organization.

The activity also contributed to preserving and spreading the beautiful traditional cultural values of Vietnam.

The contest featured the participation of 10 teams, each consisting of at least five union members. Within 90 minutes, the teams prepared and decorated their Tet jam dishes based on self-selected themes. Participants were encouraged to use natural ingredients, ensure food safety and hygiene, and highlight traditional flavors. After completing their products, each team had five minutes to present and explain their creation to the judging panel.

  • Completion within the allotted time: 20 points
  • Food safety and hygiene: 20 points

The contest atmosphere was lively and exciting. Fragrant batches of colorful Tet jams, combined with creative presentations, showcased the participants’ skillfulness, teamwork, and appreciation of traditional Tet culture.

Sweet colors, fragrant aromas, and the rich taste of Tet—each batch of jam reflected both creativity and team spirit at UPO.
