The workshop focused on highlighting the role of Central Vietnam as a distinctive transitional space for language and culture in the process of Vietnam’s southward expansion. Scholarly analyses emphasized that Central Vietnam is not only a geographical link but also a region that preserves, adapts, and disseminates multiple layers of linguistic and cultural heritage across different historical periods.

Through analyses of vocabulary, modes of expression, and linguistic nuances characteristic of Central Vietnam, the program shed light on the movement, transformation, and adaptation of the Vietnamese language throughout the historical journey toward the South. These perspectives offered participants a more comprehensive understanding of the richness and diversity of Vietnamese, as well as the close relationship between language and its cultural and historical contexts.

The event attracted significant interest from lecturers, students, and language and culture enthusiasts.

Through this workshop, the Faculty of Basic Sciences continues to affirm its role in connecting academic knowledge with cultural practice, while contributing to the promotion, preservation, and development of Vietnamese linguistic and cultural values in the contemporary context.
