According to the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), liberal education is a learning approach that empowers and prepares students to navigate a complex, diverse, and changing world. It provides students with a broad knowledge base of the world (science, culture, and society) while also allowing for in-depth study of a specific area of interest. Liberal education fosters a sense of social responsibility and equips students with strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to apply knowledge and skills to real-world situations.

Currently, Thai Binh Dương University is one of the pioneering universities in Vietnam to adopt the liberal arts education model. One of the strengths of the university’s curriculum is its focus on supporting students in developing their personal growth and expanding their horizons. The entire teaching and learning process centers around building a solid foundation of knowledge, cultivating skills, and fostering personal and social awareness. Through field trips, community activities, and special events such as workshops and student exchanges with international universities, Thai Binh Dương students have the opportunity to experience the fruits of a globally advanced education system, enhancing their qualities and developing essential skills for life and work.

This demonstrates that the liberal arts education model has provided young people with a promising start to their careers. They enter the workforce with a solid foundation and even have advantages over many of their peers.
